Surprise Proposal on the Mountain Side | Blowing Rock, NC

Zach served in the Marine Corps with my husband, Raymond at Cherry Point and we became very good friends/family. When he reached out and told me that he was ready to propose to Samantha and wanted me to be there to photograph it - I knew I couldn't miss it.

When I asked him what he had in mind he knew he wanted to do it in the mountains but had no exact place. I told him I knew the perfect place and I then sent a message to Sam and asked her if she would be willing to do a couples model session for me in the mountains (sneaky)

We took a chance with the weather as it called for 70% thunderstorms and showed it as cloudy and raining all day. I told them rain or shine we were going to just take a chance and swing it. Sam of course thought she was here for a model call but in reality Zach and I had it all planned out. I instructed them to put their backs to each other and look the opposite direction. I told them at the count of three I wanted them to spin around and look at each other and scream the first thing that comes to mind. As you can see Sam was speechless and instantly began to cry (my legs were literally shaking) You can see the love they have for each other and I am so excited that I was able to be there to capture this special time in their lives.
